You have done a very good job with ryananthony.com. It is the homepage at our school because the intro is an extremely good tune that many of my classmates like to jam to while playing pokerroom.

I wrote this for my college essay as tribute to all Mr. Anthony gave to me at the severance concert with CYWS.

My soul lay on the dark, damp floor; beaten; broken. Its dreams shattered; its faith lost; its future bleak.
As I sat on stage at Severance, the voice of a trumpet ripped through my body, asking my tortured soul to come out and play. Weakly, it rose, grabbed the black bars, and slid between them. It gripped the outstretched hand the music offered. They danced; music and soul inseparable as two reunited lovers.
It was as if the music had never left me; the memories it brought me, the emotions I felt each time I performed. The cage’s bars disintegrated as each taunt and insult that strengthened them crumbled beneath the trumpet.
The man playing exuded such emotion each time the trumpet met his lips and his fingers flew from note to note. He was one with the horn; it was simply the means to amplify what he felt in his heart.
Whenever I feel the constraints of the cage entrapping me, I close my eyes and wander back to Severance that night. I hear the matador taunting the bull, the cheers from the crowd as he triumphs, and the mariachi band playing through the reds and golds of the sun’s last rays at the victory fiesta. I see my soul intertwined with its beloved music and know that so long as I live and remember what I learned from Ryan Anthony, no one can ensnare me, unless I allow it. My music shall thrive in me and each time I raise my flute to my lips, I shall give back a little piece of myself to the world, as Ryan Anthony did for me.

So glad we now have CD's instead of vinyl.I would have worn out your album with Gary Beard as I have played it every day since I got it.
Not only do I think it is your best to date, but it is one of the very finest classical CD's I have heard.
Look forward to your next release.Thank you for sharing your talent.

Man your good! I first heard you with the Canadian Brass, and I must say, you are awesome!. Being a trumpet player myself, I really appreciate your God-give ability. Thanks for your inspiration. I hope one day I'm half as good as you are! Keep blowin Satchmo!!!

Ryan,
Congratulations on all you have achieved and I know more will follow! My fondest memory of the Mt. Miguel Alumni was the surprise attack on your father at a pops concert back in '97...remember surprising him by playing the "Fanfare," as he was queing up the band?! That was great! Let me know if you're ever in my neck of the woods of Las Vegas. I would love to bring the family to see you play. Best wishes in all your forthcoming endeavors.

Hi Ryan. I am a very pleased listener to your trumpet music. I have got two of your CDs from a common friend of us, Mr. Paul Ross. I am an amateur trumpet player and have played together with the church organ in our home place Malm (Norway) for several years. Here I have also conducted the local brass band and big band for many years. It am therefore very pleased to listen to a proffesional. It would be nice to have som words from you.
Sincerely
Frank

I attended SSMF 2004 and would have to say that the performance of "Rhapsody in Blue" was one of the highlights of the camp. Thank you!
